A Message from Executive Director Stephen Peeler, CFRE: Thank you for helping us reach our Summer Match!

The IDSA Foundation’s Summer of Science campaign has come to a close, and I’d like to thank each of you for your unwavering support. In 2020, we raised nearly $20,000 toward our match. This year, we wanted to double that number, and thanks to your support, we exceeded our goal!

Together we raised $50,000 to support life-saving research, fund the ID workforce of tomorrow and celebrate science as the leading principal of the ID specialty.

For 20 years, the Foundation has supported those who have worked hard to investigate novel research areas and served on the frontlines of critical moments in our field, from the height of the HIV/AIDS epidemic to the COVID-19 pandemic we are all experiencing today.

I know how much time and effort the infectious diseases community has invested over those last 20 years and how tirelessly health care workers continue to serve their communities. On behalf of the Foundation, I can assure you that we are grateful for all that you do, and we are committed to supporting the specialty for the next 20 years and beyond.

Donors like YOU make it possible for us to continue this work and to equip the ID community, including physician-scientists, clinical researchers and ID residents alike, with the tools they need to combat the next infectious diseases threat.

Through our Summer of Science campaign, the Foundation has been able to build more connections within the ID community, encourage innovation and support advancements in the field through our programs and research grants.

Individuals like you are heroes who are helping the Foundation get one step closer to achieving its mission to reduce the burdens of infectious diseases worldwide.

Thank you for celebrating a Summer of Science with us.

With gratitude,
