Match Doubled! Help Us Meet Our New Match.
Thanks to our generous supporters, the IDSA Foundation met its fundraising match! Our community came together and donated more than $20,000 to celebrate a Summer of Science and fund the future of the field of infectious diseases. Now that we hit our $20,000 goal, the Foundation’s Industry Partners have decided to double their offer!
When you donate this month, your gift will be matched dollar for dollar up to $40,000. Donate before Aug. 31 to help us reach our new goal of $40,000. If your gift is $40 or more, you will also receive a limited-edition Trust Science baseball cap as a token of the Foundation’s appreciation.
Applications close next week for the 2021 Virtual IDWeek Mentorship Program. Apply before Aug. 18 to connect with either an experienced infectious diseases specialist or a trainee or resident interested in the field of ID. Together, mentor and mentee pairs will focus on professional development, education and a vision for the mentee’s future career.

The IDSA Foundation’s Industry Partners ensure our work continues for years to come. Thanks to our generous supporters, we can support life-saving research, fund innovative programs and cultivate the next generation of diverse infectious diseases professionals. We’re proud to highlight our Industry Partners to showcase what they do best. This month, we’re putting the spotlight on ViiV:
ViiV Healthcare is the only pharmaceutical company solely focused on combating, preventing and ultimately curing HIV. Born out of a partnership between GSK and Pfizer in 2009, with Shionogi joining in 2012, their focus is on researching and delivering innovative HIV medicines and solutions that make a difference to people living with HIV and AIDS. ViiV Healthcare’s current portfolio of 16 HIV treatments is the first step in fighting back against the epidemic. Their research center in Branford, Connecticut, the world’s only HIV-dedicated facility, is utterly focused on finding new, innovative medicines to help improve the lives of people living with HIV.
