Meet IDSA Foundation’s New Development Manager

We are thrilled to be bringing on our newest member of the IDSA Foundation team, Catherine Lampi as our Development Manager. Catherine comes to us from the National Organization for Women where she worked as a Development Manager responsible for managing the organizations development program including major gifts, planned giving, advocacy campaigns and community and donor relations.

As the IDSA Foundation Development Manager, Catherine will be responsible for our overall development of donor engagement via campaigns, as well as all fundraising activity through planned giving, annual giving, and corporate and Foundation relations.

Catherine will be an integral part of the Foundation’s fundraising efforts. Before you meet or work with Catherine, get to know her through this Q&A!

Q: What are you most excited about for your new position?

A: I am looking forward to using my past experience to support the development of sustainer programs and campaigns to expand the reach of the Foundation.

Q: What interested you most in the IDSA Foundation?

A: I am passionate about building sustainable, healthy communities. Working at the IDSA Foundation gives me the chance to develop the funding streams to support the next generation of ID specialists while amplifying the stories of doctors on the frontlines and the patients they serve.

Q: Where are you from?

A: Tampa, Florida.

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?

A: In my free time I enjoy practicing yoga, playing with my two dogs, exploring new parks and hiking trails and perfecting my kombucha fermentation.

I’m an amateur chef and love *attempting* to cook new recipes.

Q: What is something most people don’t know about you.

A: I am a fluent Spanish speaker. If we have a chance to talk, you’ll note my heavy Salvadoran accent which I picked up during Peace Corps.
