The Science of Alzheimer’s & Infectious Diseases Symposium highlights research on the correlation between infectious agents or microbial communities with Alzheimer’s disease and promotes novel research in the field of microbial triggers for Alzheimer’s disease.
Presenters will share accomplishments and research outcomes that may be beneficial to the larger ID and Alzheimer’s disease research communities in understanding the role of microbial pathogenesis in the course of Alzheimer’s disease.
Symposium Goals
- Share the Latest Research and Findings: This symposium will provide a platform for researchers, clinicians and scientists to present their latest findings on the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease, including bacteriology, neurology, microbiology, immunology and virology.
- Discuss Challenges and Solutions: Presenters will discuss the challenges currently faced in Alzheimer’s disease research, including issues related to the complexity of the disease and the translation of research findings into clinical practice.
- Plan for Future Research Directions: Presenters will identify gaps in current knowledge and share priorities for future research directions, aiming to address the most critical questions in the pathogenesis and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.
- Foster Collaboration: Attendees are encouraged to collaborate with other professionals from various disciplines, institutions and locations to facilitate a multidisciplinary approach to Alzheimer’s disease research, aiming to accelerate the discovery of effective treatments and interventions.
- Engage With Stakeholders: This event will bring together a diverse group of stakeholders, including researchers, health care professionals, industry partners and funders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and its impact on society.
- Advance Public Awareness and Education: The symposium serves as a platform to increase public awareness and understanding of Alzheimer’s disease, its pathogenesis, and the importance of research and early diagnosis.
