Celebrating Black History Month

During Black History Month and year-round, the IDSA Foundation is committed to saluting the essential contributions of Black medical professionals to the field of infectious diseases. We recognize that diversity and representation are core components of delivering culturally competent care and addressing health care disparities.

Through efforts like the George W. Counts Conference Room, the Foundation is working to ensure underrepresented medical students have access to the resources, education and mentorship needed to pursue a career in ID and to feel supported in professional development along the way.

When you donate to the George W. Counts Conference Room during Black History Month, your contribution will be matched dollar for dollar up to $10,000 thanks to the generous support of AbbVie. Don’t miss this opportunity to uphold the empowering legacy of Dr. Counts, increase mentorship opportunities and support recruitment initiatives for Black medical professionals across the country.
